Each week in July, Penn Press will give away a copy of Zoot Suit: The Enigmatic Career of an Extreme Style by Kathy Peiss to one swinging fashion history lover.
What's the catch?
All you have to do is send in the correct answer to the weekly Name That Zoot question. Weekly winners will be randomly selected from that week's correct entries.
At the end of the month, a grand prize winner will be selected from all the correct entries. The grand prize is a ReVamp Limited Editions Vintage Recreations gift certificate.
Contest Rules:
1. To be eligible to win this week's drawing, you must answer all questions correctly and submit your first name, last name, mailing address and email address. Entries must be received by 12:00 noon Eastern time on August 5, 2011. Only one correct entry per person will be eligible to win.
2. All contest winners will be chosen by University of Pennsylvania Press ("Penn Press"), whose decisions are final on all matters related to this contest. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Penn Press is not responsible for lost, interrupted, garbled, or jumbled entries or transmissions, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic. All entries become the property of Penn Press and will not be acknowledged or returned.
3. One eligible entry will be declared the winner on August 3, 2011, and that entrant will receive a copy of Zoot Suit: The Enigmatic Career of an Extreme Style.
4. Each weekly drawing winner will be entered in the grand prize drawing. Penn Press will select one weekly drawing winner to recieve the grand prize, one $150.00 ReVamp gift certificate. The grand prize winner will be declared on August 5, 2011.
5. All winners will be notified by email. The winners' names will be published on Penn Press websites and in other Penn Press promotional communications.
6. This contest is open only to residents of the United States. Penn Press employees and their family members are ineligible to enter. This contest is subject to all federal, state, and local regulations. Penn Press will not be responsible for payment of taxes on the value of any prize awarded.
7. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules and the decisions of Penn Press, and release Penn Press, its parent university, trustees, officers, suppliers and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participation in the contest or the acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of a prize.
8. Entering the contest constitutes consent to the use of the winner's name and entries for publicity and promotional purposes on behalf of (in Penn Press's sole discretion) and with no additional compensation or further permission (except where prohibited by law). Any winner who is less than 18 years old will be required to furnish consent to this use by a parent or legal guardian.
